Please Note: Dump Runs require a $100 deposit via credit card, with the remainder charged upon completion of services.
⚠️PROHIBITED ITEMS ⚠️
The following items are NOT ALLOWED for a standard dump run. Many of these require specialized handling or drop-off at Household Hazardous Waste depots or licensed facilities:
Household hazardous chemicals & liquids
Paints and paint thinner (wet/partially full paint cans), solvents, varnish, turpentine, lacquer, adhesives, paint stripper, cleaners labeled “corrosive”/“flammable”/“toxic.”
Automotive & oil-related
Motor oil, oil filters, transmission fluid, antifreeze, gasoline, diesel, other vehicle fluids.
Pressurized / gas cylinders
Propane tanks, oxygen cylinders, helium tanks, compressed gas cylinders, fire extinguishers.
Batteries
Car batteries (lead-acid), rechargeable batteries (NiMH, Li-ion), large battery packs.
Electronics & appliances
Televisions, computers, monitors, fridges/freezers containing refrigerant (require special handling).
Mercury & specialty items
Mercury thermometers, thermostats, fluorescent tubes and other mercury-containing bulbs.
Pesticides / pool / garden chemicals
Herbicides, insecticides, pool chemicals, fertilizers that are hazardous.
Ammunition / explosives / fireworks
Ammunition, explosives, fireworks — contact police or specialized disposal services.
Medical & biological
Syringes, needles, medical sharps, biomedical or pathological waste.
Asbestos & regulated building materials
Asbestos-containing materials (friable asbestos requires licensed abatement and special disposal).
Tires, large automotive parts, and large appliances
Tires, engines, transmissions, large vehicle parts (often banned from ordinary bins).
Radioactive, PCB-containing, or commercial/industrial waste
Radioactive materials, PCB-laden equipment, or large quantities of industrial/commercial hazardous waste (many municipal HHW programs accept household quantities only).
Other prohibited/unsafe items
Liquids in general, liquid-filled containers, unknown/unsafe substances, large compressed containers, and anything labelled as corrosive, flammable, reactive, or explosive.
